TEHRAN- Investment making by the private sector in the agriculture sector increased by 45 percent in the first nine months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21-December 21), as compared to the same period of time in the past year, the Ministry of Agriculture announced.

According to the Central Bank of Iran (CBI)’s report, despite the occurrence of drought, the economic growth of the agricultural sector hit positive 0.8 percent in the summer of the current year from negative 2.4 percent in the summer of the past year, which indicates a 3.2 percent growth of this economic sector.
